Francis J. Beard was born on 21 May 1821 at Reading, Massachusetts.1 He marriedBetsey Cilley, daughter of Simmons B. Cilley and Mary Parker Ayer, on 3 August 1845.1He died on 16 June 1900 at age 79.1 He was buried at Appleton Cemetery, Deering, Hillsborough, New Hampshire.1
