Mary M. Crofoot was born Hazel Rosamund Benson. Hazel ran away from home when she was about 16 years old and legally changed her name to Mary Mannion. She allegedly married a man by the name of Mel York although there is no documented proof that I have been able to find. On 06 Oct 1936, she married Jack Farrington Crofoot. They had four children; Jacklyn, Patricia, Cathleen & Anthony.
